Project details
My role: Co-UX Designer (first half), Lead UX Designer (second half)
The team: Design, Business, Product, Engineering
Tools: Figma, Mural
Duration: 8 Months (6 features)
Medium: Native mobile app, desktop browser
Problem
In store associates did not have an easy way to be able to access and manage their financial tools that were available to them through Walmart. They also might not be aware of the benefits available and the value they hold for their financial well-being. Right now they must go through the One Walmart website, but must be on VPN, which could only be accessed through computers at work. This ultimately limits the time in which these tools are available to them.
How might we incorporate financial tools in the existing Me@Walmart associate application in order to assist with improving their long term financial well-being by 1) allowing 24/7 access 2) providing learning materials to increase financial awareness, 3) encouraging associates to save for their futures, and 4) allowing associates to take full advantage of their financial benefits available to them through Walmart.

Specifications
Specifications were created in a handoff file for tech to develop. The goal is for tech to develop the designs without questions and with full clarification on logic, behaviors / interactions, edge cases and loading / error states. There is always communication between tech and UX to ensure designs are coded exactly how they have been designed. Some examples below:
Success metrics + Wins
